Hi, I’m Gunnar — Your Neighbor, Your Advocate, Your Local Insurance Expert

I’ll keep this simple: I started this blog because I want to be a resource for the people in my community. Not just for my customers, but for anyone in the Portland and Tualatin area who has questions about protecting the things they’ve worked hard for.

So before we get into any of that — let me introduce myself.

A Little About Me

I’m a local business owner with offices in both Portland and Tualatin, and I’ve been part of this community for over 20 years. I grew up in Salem, so the Portland area has been home for most of my life. I’m not just working here — I live here, my family is here, and the people I serve are my neighbors.

That matters to me. When I sit down with someone to talk through their coverage, I’m not thinking about a transaction. I’m thinking about what actually makes sense for their life — whether they’re a young professional just starting out, a family trying to protect their home, or a small business owner making sure everything they’ve built is covered.

I’ve been doing this long enough to know that insurance can feel overwhelming and overly complicated. My job is to cut through that and make sure you walk away feeling informed and confident — not confused.

When I’m Not in the Office

If I’m not with a customer, there’s a decent chance I’m on a mountain or a golf course.

Skiing is my thing. I love getting out to Mt. Hood and Mt. Bachelor — sometimes solo, sometimes with my daughters, which honestly makes it even better. There’s nothing quite like a good powder day with people you love.

And golf? I’ll play any course, any time, with anyone who’s up for it. It’s less about the round and more about the company and the time outside.

What to Expect From This Blog

This is a space where I’ll share tips, answer common questions, and talk through topics that actually matter to people in our area — from navigating coverage options to understanding what you really need at different stages of life.

No fluff, no sales pitch. Just straight talk from someone who’s been a part of this community for a long time and wants to keep earning your trust.

Thanks for stopping by — I hope you’ll stick around.
